 A Missouri native, Darlene, was born in St Louis. As a child she traveled about the country with her family visiting her brother, who was in the Navy. It was during this time she received her first 35mm all-in-one camera and became hooked on photography. By the time she was a senior in high school she had upgraded her camera several times. She now calls Southeast Missouri home, this area is of special focus due to the still prevalent swamps, wetland areas, and Ozark Mountain Range. Darlene's objective is to promote the unique qualities of the Southeast Missouri Region through her photography.No longer using film, she has gone totally digital with the newest technology. Photos are produced with the highest quality equipment, software, and photo papers. Although she prints glossies, she specializes in printing on canvas; a technique called Glice'e. After drying, the canvas is sealed with a UV-Resistant Clear Coat that protects it from the sun and also makes it water-resistant.
